Have you ever broken down in tears after opening an autogenerated email?
“Thank you for applying, but we have decided to move forward with other candidates.
”Those were the words I read five years ago as I was rejected from yet another internship.
By then, I had spent 8 months trying and failing to get my first software engineering internship. I felt like a complete loser.
In 2019, after dozens of rejections, I managed to land my first internship at a small insurance company in Davenport, Iowa.
Little did I know that my first internship would send me on a journey of studying successful software engineers, diligently practicing LeetCode, reading books on interviewing, and refining my resume.
It would take me years, but I finally seized control of my professional life.
Pretty soon, I had landed a second internship at John Deere. Next, an internship at Amazon.
Then, two more internships at Shopify. And finally, an internship at HP.
Here’s my 2022 tax return. You’re looking at over $100,000 as a 21 year old college student, from software engineering internships ALONE in 1 year.
I had cracked the code. Getting a software engineering internship was no longer a challenge for me.
I even did all of this while getting 8 hours of sleep, maintaining a vibrant social life, and keeping up my grades.
In fact, I’ve only ever solved around 100 LeetCode problems.
And I’m not special. I had just found the secret formula. And I know I can teach it to you too.
If I knew then what I know now, I would have saved years of time and effort. I could’ve made $230k total throughout college instead of just $127k.
